TURNING THE HEEL
To wrap and turn (w&t) on a knit row: Bring yarn forward between the needles, slip the stitch to the right-hand needle, bring yarn around the stitch to the back of your work, slip the stitch back to the left-hand needle, and turn work.
To w&t on a purl row: Bring yarn between needles to the back of your work, slip the stitch to the right-hand needle, bring yarn around the stitch to the front of the work, slip the stitch back to the left-hand needle, and turn work.
When knitting or purling wrapped stitches: Slip the wrapped stitch to the right-hand needle and use the left-hand needle to pick up the wrap. Place the wrap on the right-hand needle beside the stitch. Knit or purl the stitch together with the wrap.
When knitting or purling double wrapped stitches: Knit or purl the stitch in the same way as you would a wrapped stitch. However, instead of picking up one wrap, you’ll pick up two.
